A transaction of 1.5 seconds versus 10 when paying cash. Sure, that might not be much of a difference but when driving, these seconds accumulate exponentially. Driving with this electronic toll collection transponder is not only proven to be much faster, it is also more convenient. Through this device, the toll is automatically deducted from your account, thereby eliminating fumbling around for payment then likely waiting for change.
All accounts are on prepaid mode. The official company behind the e-Pass, Capstone Technologies, Inc., operates three e-Pass centers, 19 kiosks, and six PC-based stations and has partnered to make the tag and load available in 35 SM Malls and 20 MEPS machines (for exact addresses, please click here). It is also behind the Customer Service and Call Centers located in the Skyway head office in Bicutan, Paranaque. The three e-Pass centers are in Caltex Binan Southbound, C5, which is 50 meters left of the toll plaza, and in Nichols, which is in between plazas A & B.
With the e-Pass, travellers can be more confident, knowing that they can cruise along the Skyway and SLEX exclusive e-Pass lanes in an almost seamless manner.
